"A Surreal Soap Opera - Toxic Waste Meets Resortland"
is an environmental themed play. The black comedy is
set in a beach resort that is really an toxic waste dump.
Audience interactive with 9 characters it is a great play
for community theater or an adventurous high school
troop since you can have many different walk-on rolls
for beachcombers and players who engage the
audience to throw stuff at the stage on cue.
The madcap farce features lobster bibs, the audience
blowing bubbles, suicidal seagulls, faux breast implants,
toxic fumes and a pas de deux in giant intertubes.
It was first performed at Lincoln Center Out of Doors
and later staged as a weekly soap opera at The Village
Gate in Greenwich Village. Bugbee and Co. performed a
reading at Staten Island's First Ecological Festival.
